Grant Application: Faculty Development Grant for Teaching Media Production and Media Studies The Faculty Development Grant Program gives college and university media educators the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a professional media environment. The Program allows teaching faculty to spend up to four weeks of the summer “interning” with a TV station, cable system, broadcast or cable network or program distributor. The goals are to increase teaching effectiveness through first-hand experience and to nurture relationships between educators and the industry. Development Grant recipients receive a fellowship to attend NATPE 2019 in Miami Beach and $500 per week during their grant placement.
