1. ACCS Nomination: Deadline Extended to March 12
The Ad Hoc Nomination Committee is seeking nominations or self-nominations for the three open positions in ACCS: The Vice-President (2018-2020), Secretary/Treasurer (2018-2020), and the Newsletter Editor (2018-2020). The duties of each position are listed as follows:
“The ACCS Vice-President will serve a two-year term, then, succeed to the office of President. This officer shall, in cooperation with the officers and appropriate committees, plan the Association activities, and shall discharge responsibilities normally adhering to the office” (ACCS bylaws, article III). 
“The ACCS Secretary/Treasurer shall serve two years, prepare minutes of the business meetings, be responsible for the financial management and membership records, other internal communications among the members, and other duties customary for the office” (ACCS bylaws, article III). 
“The ACCS Newsletter Editor shall serve for two years, be responsible for the Association's Newsletter, and other duties customary for the office” (ACCS bylaws, article III). 
Please email your nomination (or self-nomination) to [email protected]. Both nominating and voting require the active ACCS membership. If you want to become an active member, please contact our secretary Ping Yang at [email protected] to renew membership or join the ACCS.
The last day to nominate yourself or someone else is March 12, 2018.
Each candidate will prepare a brief candidate statement and email it to the Nomination Committee at [email protected].

2. ACCS Submission Call for NCA 2018Convention Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Convention Dates: November 8-11, 2018

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:59pm Pacific Time

3. The 4th WeChat Brown Bag Discussion Panel: Academic Services
Date and time:
Friday, April 6, 8:00-9:00 p.m. EST
(5:00-6:00 p.m. PST; Saturday, April 7, 8:00-9:00 a.m., Beijing Time)
Jointly hosted by ACCS & CCA
Panelists:
Dr. Louisa Ha (Bowling Green State University)
Dr. Hong Cheng (Virginia Commonwealth University)
Dr. Shuhua Zhou (University of Alabama)
Dr. Lu Wei (Zhejiang University)

Event description:
The panelists will share their thoughts and experiences on academic services such as serving on committees and reviewing manuscripts for journals. The moderator will also ask the panelists to respond to specific questions pre-collected from CCA and ACCS members. The last 10-15 minutes will be a free Q&A session.
